J. Cole Receives Praises From Central Cee For A Song Feature

Love From Central Cee To J. Cole For Including Him In “Might Delete Later”

To commemorate J. Cole’s most recent album, Might Delete Later, Central Cee shared a screen grab of a conversation in which Cole and himself discussed the inspiration behind their most recent song, “H.Y.B.”

J. Cole began the SMS exchange by sending the MP3 file along with the words, “Here go the joint, bro.” “Please feel free to jump on it if you f**k with it and get inspired to do so; it could be crazy,” the statement read, adding a few emojis to show off. In response, Central Cee said, “Yeah, crazy.” Would be enjoyable; I’m feeling motivated already. Speak less.

On the photo of the screen grab, Cee mentioned, “[J. Cole,] thank you,” with the goat emoji. Shortly after, he posted a screenshot of the track, saying, “Kinda mad still.” The track was an impressive standout within the 12-track surprise LP.

Even though the new album has some amazing songs, none of them have garnered as much attention as his reaction to Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” verse featuring Kendrick Lamar. “It’s a cold world, keep the heat under your seat/ I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissin’/ You want some attention, it come with extensions/ My dog like, ‘Say the word,’ he on bulls**t, he itchin’,” J. Cole rapped on “7 Minute Drill.”

“Your first s**t was classic, your last s**t was tragic/ Your second s**t put n**gas to sleep, but they gassed it/ Your third s**t was massive, and that was your prime,” he continued in the opening verse. “The rap beef ain’t realer than the s**t I seen in Cumberland/ He averagin’ one hard verse like every 30 months or somethin’.”

The warning shot elicited varying reactions from fans. Prior to his first-ever Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, North Carolina, J. Cole releases his most recent album. The two-day festival will include performances from 50 Cent, Nicki Minaj, SZA, and numerous other artists.
