In the California-Nevada border, a helicopter carrying Herbert Wigwe and five others crashes.

Whitney&Spencer has learned of reports indicating that Herbert Wigwe, the Group Managing Director and CEO of Access Holding, along with five other individuals, were involved in a helicopter crash near the California-Nevada border.

There has been no official statement from the bank holding company to support this.

Though they are unable to determine if Herbert Wigwe is dead or whether there are survivors, individuals with knowledge of the situation confirm to newsmen that he was on board the chopper.

His son and wife were also on board. Whitney&Spencer also knows that Abimbola Ogunbajo, a business entrepreneur, was traveling with the aircraft.

Authorities have not yet gained access to the crash site, therefore the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States is still looking into the incident.

The NTSB also tweeted

“NTSB launching go team to investigate Friday’s crash of an Airbus Helicopters EC-130 near Halloran Springs, California. Team to arrive on scene today.”

It is believed that the incident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. (US California Time). It’s unclear where the passengers were going when the Eurocopter EC 130 helicopter took off from Palmsprings.

Nairametrics has learned via sources, nevertheless, that the business tycoon might have been traveling with his family to Sunday’s Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
