A young rapper named Oladips staged his own death in an attempt to capitalize on the outpouring of sadness and increase his record sales. It seems that he was jealous of the attention and fame that his late colleague Mohbad was receiving as the Imole crooner’s album gained momentum.

But the plan backfired, and now he’s in the open, asking his followers to pray for him and promising to reveal the motivations behind this risky and expensive ploy.

The Nigerian rapper Oladips has come out to physically interact with his supporters and compatriots in response to the shocking, unexpected news of his purported death that took many Nigerians by surprise.

During a live Instagram video, he gave his fans comfort and reassured his followers that he would address the controversial death stunt situation once he regained his health.

It is still not clear what really happened with Oladips

Famous Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, better known by his stage name Oladips, has extended a hand to his supporters and compatriots, promising to share his experiences once he heals completely.

Videos of the musician’s long-term health issues that he claimed to be dealing with left many Nigerians shocked to learn of his passing. A few days later, though, rumors began to circulate that the rapper had staged his own death in an attempt to boost the sales of his just-released record.

Up until November 23, when he uploaded a video to his Instagram account with the title “proof of life,” he stayed silent about the accusations.

He assured his followers via a live video stream on Instagram shortly after that he would tell his side of the tale as soon as he recovered. Visibly upset and ill, Oladips asked his supporters to keep him in their prayers in the video.

Nigerians were shocked to learn that rapper Oladips’ friends and coworkers had declared him alive.

To everyone’s surprise, well-known artist Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilare, often known as Qdot, announced on Instagram on Thursday night, November 16, that his friend was still alive and well.

The singer known as Sircoolest’s close friend verified it on his Instagram stories.

Yul Edochie, in response fingered Nigerians’ sanctimonious love and support for dead people as the reason why rapper Oladips recently faked his death.

The actor urged Nigerians to continue trending his music even after discovering that he is still alive, stressing that he mustn’t die before they could support him.
